On 6-7 October, the 6th Japan-EU Symposium on ICT Research and Innovation will be taking place at the CEATEC Japan event in Makuhari Messe, Chiba City.
The symposium will highlight projects from coordinated calls by the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect), the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT).
This symposium will introduce ICT Strategies and Japan-EU ICT cooperation, present results and information from the joint projects that have been supported so far, and explore areas where future collaboration can be targeted. The symposium will look at specific technological areas such as IoT, 5G, security in a hyper connected society, advanced technologies beyond 5G, and smart cities / smart homes.
The event will provide a unique opportunity to bring together policy makers, academic and industry researchers and representatives from specialist organisations (including the Smart IoT Acceleration Forum; Next Generation M2M Consortium; AIOTI; Hypercat etc.) from Europe and Japan.
